What Do You Want to Be When You Grow Up?

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Remarkably, Pilates wasn’t the answer in my 18-year-old brain. 🙂 I’m not even sure I’d heard of Pilates, much less dreamed of Pilates in Holland!

I knew I wanted to work with people, and psychiatry or PE teacher were top career options for me. I also knew that I felt my best in my youth when I was on a team or in a group singing. You know… that feeling of wholeness and belonging?

When I started taking Pilates, I found that feeling again. I joined a wellness team. The language, the movements in a group, and the celebration of individual successes felt profound. It invigorated my soul. I felt clear minded, and more capable of taking on goals of bettering myself.

Pilates in Holland found me in a way I couldn’t have dreamt. It is interesting how you may not have words for what you need, but when it arrives it all makes sense. The desire to heal from the inside was huge for me. Pilates’ emphasis on core work makes feeling stronger mean so much more than how you look. How It felt in my body translated to my mind and spirit. It showed up in my life every day.

Healing, strength, and community are the cornerstones of Pilates in Holland. We love to help these show up in your life too!
