Remember back to the Pilates in Holland October newsletter when Erin Lamb told us we should try to eat seven colors in a week? Well, I’m here to help you do just that! Eating a wide array of fruits and vegetables regularly is SOOO good for our bodies, but also sometimes hard to accomplish. Bodhi Tree Juice Co. can help, AND they have partnered with us by donating a gift card for our month of Thanks & Giving!
I have been buying juices from Bodhi Tree since 2012 when they started selling at the farmer’s market and was over the moon when I heard about their opening in Grand Haven. I appreciate the ability to feed my body the rainbow. My body always feels more energized, my skin glows, and I have the mental satisfaction of knowing my health is getting what it needs. The variety Bodhi offers is unreal and the combinations are such an easy way to get variety into your diet that you may otherwise avoid or forget about.
Bodhi has been pivotal for my wellness. All of their juices are cold-pressed, meaning juice is extracted using a hydraulic press. This method minimizes the disruption of the vitamins, minerals, and live enzymes during the juicing process and maximizes the nutritional benefit our bodies love. One study found that supplementing with mixed fruit and vegetable juice over 14 weeks improved participants’ nutrient levels of beta carotene, vitamin C, vitamin E, selenium, and folate (1). A review of 22 studies found that drinking juice made from fresh fruits and vegetables improved folate and antioxidant levels, including beta carotene, vitamin C, and vitamin E (2). Bodhi juice is made from quality organic produce, without any additives or extra sugar.
Bodhi Tree Juice Co. grew from Renee Randell’s passion for good, clean food (she holds certifications in Nutrition, Herbal Medicine, and Holistic Health) and her love of sharing that passion. Her husband, John, is a lifelong organic farmer, selling his produce at West Michigan Farmers Markets and is an organic gardening authority.
In the summer of 2016, Renee began bringing her juices to local farmer’s markets using produce from John’s organic gardens. Quickly learning the demand was high for good nutritious food, Bodhi Tree Juice Co. grew from doing one farmer’s market to seven, and then opened their Grand Haven store in May of 2018. Bodhi Tree continues to evolve, adding delicious gluten-free and vegan food options for busy people on the go. They also offer curbside ordering, so what are you waiting for!?!
