Treat Yourself to a Double Scoop

By April 5, 2021Pilates In Holland

Do you ever just want to wrap yourself up in a blanket, cozy in on the couch, and treat yourself with a cookie or a glass of wine? Or is that just me? 🙂

I know I’m not alone because I’ve heard from many Pilates in Holland clients who, after gathering up the energy to head out the door, leave the studio saying, “I’m so glad I made myself go!”

Habit sharing is a powerful concept. Pair something you don’t want to do with something you do. Is going running alone feeling really hard? I get that good feeling by going with a friend who I love to see. Dirty dishes piled up and staring me in the face? I piggy-back the chore with watching some questionable tv on my phone. Need to walk the pup but don’t want to be out in the cold? I turn on an audiobook I’ve been wanting to read and it gets me going.

Likewise, what if we change our concept of treating ourselves to include taking care of our core, both physically and emotionally? What if your Pilates time WAS your “me” time, or better yet, your time together with friends? Pilates in Holland offers that double-scoop option of something that may seem difficult with something wonderful. We provide a space where wellness, friendship, self-care, and joy meet. We are encouragers, teachers, nurturers, friends.

As Kim says: No matter how harried life may seem to be, when I walk in the door and see Mandy and Jayne, I know that they will challenge me and support my efforts to focus on my well-being and intentional movement. They are simply amazing!

You will be challenged in the most delicious ways. As Debra says, your time at PIH is never the same, never boring, always engaging but turns the brain off to everything else! And the best part is that it feels good to be with people who are rooting for you. That feeling propels you to keep coming.

We love to have everyone in our community. Join us!

Thank you so much Carole, I’m so glad to know they encourage you. It takes a village to get through life and I’m just lucky to be part of this one.
